Food may play into it with a predisposition, but otherwise I doubt it. Some dogs eat nothing but garbage their entire lives and live to be 18, perky 'til their dying day. Others are fed the best and die young. Genetics has to be the true culprit....there's no other explanation for it.

Hmmn then cancer seems to be more prevalent in the large breeds. I'm of the belief that genetics has to be at the core of this too.
