I agree about roughly 10lbs per month but as long as they look healthy and sound everything will be alright. If they put too much weight to fast, it is more likely to have Pano, hd as it puts stress on the joints and bones.

Malamutes are much taller then any Rottie I know as well as large boned. I have one here boarding for a month ,and he makes my 116 lb. Baxter look small compared to the Malamute.
It's true, better for them to grow slow and steady, and male Rottie puppies usually put on about 10 lbs a month...less for female puppies.
