I use a nice soft shhhhhhh with Dixie.
If she gets too agressive and I want to stop the play, I say shhhhhhh and she calms right down. I just do it so it's calming/soothing to her not more excitement.
Dixie rarely barks but sometimes she gets all excited about something outside and she's repremended by calling her over to us and putting her in a down stay, leave it! That settles things most times.
