| Re: East Coast Stud dogs Unfortunately, there is no perfect dog, so I think it's important to note that the bitch has a lot to do with how the get turns out. Overall, temperament and health are the first things I look for. Next comes conformation. I feel it's a bit easier to fix a physical fault here and there than to fix hard wired temperament and severe health issues. (I also believe there are genetic links between all of these that cross over)
One boy that comes to mind as one of my favorites is Dasko vom Eisentor. He made Gold Sire status in what I would consider limited breedings for a top 10 dog. He has a very strong temperament and strongly passes on his traits to his progeny.
I own a daughter of his, and what a special girl she is! Overall, the progeny I have seen from him seem to have very consistent and strong temperaments overall. Their trainability is phenomenal, and their prey drive desire to work rates the same in my book. Health is there as well. His progeny has been titled in nearly every venue from Herding, SchH. OB, Agility, Conformation, Service, etc... so that speaks volumes to me as well.
I like a several of his sons as well.
I've just gotten my Brito od Dragicevica babies on the ground, and I like what he's produced with the Dasko lines, so we shall see what becomes of these sweet little urchins.
