My guy was itchy up until I started him on flea medicine. I never had seen a flea on him and really thought that he just had itchy skin, but once I had put frontline on he was itch free, literally the next day.
I also supplement food with fish oil and have been giving glucosamine because my dog is showing signs of having painful joints. I would only give glucosamine if your dog is older and has arthritis or other joint problems, or a dog who works heavily and you need extra supplements to maintain the joints. The fish oil is a definite ok though for pretty much any dog to help maintain a shiny coat! |
