I didn't mind at all with Rommel as he would bring whatever over to us and then sit with his present hanging from his mouth. He wouldn't force it on anyone. I didn't take it as a manipulation thing because if we ignored, he would drop it and walk away, occasionally looking for something else that would possibly please us.
Most definitely better than the taking and chewing things!
