We have had the same problem...
Our rottweiler, Max, LOVES stuffed toys, but they are history in a matter of minutes or days. We will still get him some every now and then just because he likes them so much.
Some of the items that we have found that have been successfully durable were a couple of huge nylabone bones. They are about $20 a piece at Petsmart, but my dog loves to chew on them. He thinks its a rawhide without the mess or risk. Those are some of his favorites, and they are indestructable!! So well worth the money.
Also, Petsmart has these tires attached to ropes that are great for outside. He loves to sling it around and smack himself with the tire :) They had these in different sizes and he hasn't torn it up yet.
He does not like the big black kong we got him...it is for 90 lbs and up I think...however, our 5 lb yorkie LOVES to run around with it in the backyard!!!
As for ropes, mine always rips them apart and then I'm picking up tons of yarn from around the house, even with the giant ropes, although he does enjoys them.  |
