All in the eyes of the beholder they say. Personally for me, everytime I see a spike collar the first thing that comes to my mind is "fighting" as these collars have their purpose. The spikes prevent harm to the dog's neck. So yes, I'm with Skip on this one. We have enough BS with BSL to fuel it more with "novelty" collars.
Now, if you told me that you "worked" your dog and he was PP trained and was on the streets with you doing your job, I would say good for you for protecting your dog.
