I've never seen the need to "cup the muzzle" - that's just another antagonistic approach, and antagonism tends to wind them up more. Teach your puppy what he CAN do with his mouth and he will be happy to oblige you. He just doesn't know yet. Interrupt (Ah! Ah! You Rascal!) and Redirect (THIS is what you get to bite! Good puppy!) |
