| Puppy Reservation
Maybe someone can shed some light on my "dilemma". I found what seems to be a good breeder-nice clean kennel, good looking "German" rotties. There were supposed to be 3 moms due lst of April, so I put a good deposit on a male...no word from her so I emailed her mid April. None of 3 dogs were pregnant, so no puppies. The deal was, since I was the lst one to give deposit, I would get the lst born male (no choice on my part or breeder's since "all of my dogs are show quality"). Now, breeder is saying they'll be in heat again in July and will try again. Do I wait?...get my deposit back and keep looking? She had pretty dogs but some didn't have as distinct markings as I wanted...wise words from "y'all" would be appreciated. (I may be in denial huh?...breeder has done this 30 yrs. so there is some experience there and I've seen pictures of the many offspring but I am becoming confused.) |
