Most apartments wont allow dogs over 40 lbs for a couple reasons: damage to the apartment, some folks dont think large dogs should be in an apartment, folks not picking up after their pets, and neighbors complaining about noise. I would try for a house for sure. The market is a buyers market right now. Any way you can purchase your own home at this point? I tell you, its the best thing I did. Not only do I not have to worry about what pets I can have, but now that I have moved out, someone else is making the payments for me! Good luck to you!
