Thanks for that cleaningchick, this is a totally different op - they actually remove the kneecap and replace it with a man made one, it is not the cruciate at all. Her kneecap had actually slipped and cannot be manually put back and also too there is damage to the cartledge in the knee.
we wanted to know if anyone else had had this done as Liz is not sure whether to go ahead with the op?? She has learnt to cope with her knee as it is and we were wondering if the op is the right way to go, she is 7!
We are going to talk to the specialist on Monday
