Bloodlines, titles, health testing, availability... all that is important. But over the last few years I've come to the conclusion that my single biggest question regarding a breeder is this:

Do I want this person and their dogs in or near my life for the next 10+ years?

If I can't honestly say "yes" to that, and if I don't also believe that they will want to remain a part of my life for at least the lifetime of the dog they sell me... I'll keep looking.
