To add a couple of thoughts:
One of the worst reasons to get another dog is for the company of the first dog, IMHO.
If your girl seems bored, play with her, spend time with her, train her - and enhance your relationship with her. Dogs don't need dogs to be happy - they need our attention to be happy.
