All of my dogs have been a year apart. gives you time to fully house brake and train 1 before getting another. Plus gives you time to spay/neuter the first before adding a second. the vet bills can pile up on 2 puppies. then, they are still young enough to play together and have companionship. I do separate my dogs to have individual time. I agree that they need to bond with their humans but it ok for them to love each other too.
