| Re: What to look for in nail grinders? I actually use both.....I clip my guys nails for just normal activities.....however I both clip & dremel for dog shows as it just gets them a bit shorter and helps present a better overall neat package at a dog show.
I went into a hardware store.....purchased a Dremel~~its actually a brand name~~I bought the cordless / rechargeable kind....simply because my dogs don't overall appreciate nail trimming day and if I have to follow them out of range of a plug in....then I can!!
Also another plus for me with a cordless was that occasionally you notice at a show that a nail appears slightly too long and w/o power how do you dremel it quickly then?
So for me the cordless/rechargeable just made sense.
I have seen some handlers that have the electric kind they seem to work just as well except they don't have to be cognizant of how long they run them and how much battery strength that they may have left.
