I know everyone say's " No never get 2 puppies there harder to train " And so on. Was just woundering your points of views on it.
If you know what everyone says, why are you asking? Many RDNs have decades of experience with the breed--they'll tell you what everyone else has told you.

You say all your girl wants to do when she sees another puppy is play all day. What do you think she's going to do if you get a male? She'll play all day with her puppy buddy and won't give you the time of day. If you let this continue you'll end up with two mature Rotties who are focused on each other and have little time or interest in people. Doing a good job with one Rottie is dificult enough without trying to accomplish this with two puppies.

You and your wife would be much smarter to focus on your girl, training and socializing her so that she becomes an outstanding representative of the breed before thinking of getting another puppy.

Two points for you to consider: No COE breeder, the type of breeder from whom you want to acquire a puppy, will sell you a puppy given the fact you already have a puppy. The only person who will do this is of the BYB variety. And do you really want a BYB puppy?

My rescue group won't adopt a dog to people in your situation. We'd tell you to raise, train, and socialize your puppy and come back in about two years. Now, if a rescue group won't adopt a dog to you, given your situation, what does that tell you about your idea of getting another puppy?
