I noticed that my young bitch as she was growing in height suddenly one day appeared to be splayed in her toes. I switched her immediately to elevated feeding.....her bowl is now at about a height of 18-20" off the floor......she definitely has to stretch a bit to eat and it has made a world of difference in terms of how tight her feet are.
However another thing that I would ask your breeder if I were you was how tight the feet are in her line....I have seen some lines that regardless of what is done the toes remain fairly splayed and others that have naturally nice tight feet.
