BigZeus, you came to the right place at the right time. There's never a wrong time to ask for help. And unless a dog's wires are totally crossed (by genetics and permanent fear imprints) it's not always a point of no return, as some members have expressed. The advice given are very helpful, and no doubt you and Rocky can work out your issues.

I acquired my dog when he was 1.5 years old, over a year a go now. I was shocked to find that he was deathly scared of laundry, especially when I flicked it to unravel the dryer creases. I guessed he must have had a traumatic experience with the previous owner and "laundry". He's much better now. I have lots of treats with me when I do the laundry, and I never force him to come to me when I'm folding clothes. But when he does venture a gander at the stuff I'm folding, he gets lots of treats and loving.

The point I'm trying to make is, with time and diligence, old quirks can work their way out. So hang in there! I commend you for taking the negative criticisms with stride.
