With all due respect, pits were bred for dog fighting. They are hard wired for it mean it's something they like to do for fun. Herding dogs natural want to herd, retrievers fetch and fighting dogs fight.
I don't ever let my dogs get close to other dogs and when I see a Pit, I walk in the other direction. A dominant male Rott and just about any pit is a recipe for disaster.
