I thought because they were banned in Ontario, it was just the Ontario clubs that didn't take them. I'll make a note to ask my club why not.
To the OP, just be careful which club you join, don't join the closest one to you. Some are better than others. I checked into 3 clubs in my area before I decided on the one I'm at. I also asked a lot of people who've been in SchH which club they'd recommend. I went and talked to the handlers and helpers and found a club that fit us best. It's not the closest, but it's the one I'm most comfortable with.
