Our puppies really are twins aren't they? Gary's pee problem has got SO much better since I have originally posted this thread. He doesn't excitedly pee puddles anymore, now he just tinkles a tiny bit. Even though he is still peeing, I see a huge improvement. Maybe one day it will just go away all together...

What I have been doing to help him out is trying to make sure that he is empty every time there is a possibility that someone is going to come over to say hi. Before every walk he pees. When I get home, I don't say hi we go straight outside to let him pee then we greet inside after he has gone potty.

This has helped him a lot, and like I said now he no longer pees a ton when he is excited it is just a bit. By keeping them empty when they do get excited they actually have to push pee out instead of just let it leak, so I think it helps them realize that they are peeing at a time they don't need to be.

As for neutering, Gary is 7.5 months old and still intact. He is getting snipped either at 12 months, or if he randomly goes hormonally haywire with excessive marking, dog aggression, or extreme dominance (humping me or other people). So far he still squats to pee, loves every other dog that he sees, and will often roll over submissively for a belly rub So I think it is safe to say he will be getting done at 12 months.
