I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Xena.
You are right Xena's body was shutting down. It was good to get her into your vet as soon as you could.
I feel so bad you had to go through this pain - it is indeed one of the hardest things to do.
It is always harder on the ones left behind. We miss them so much.
Hold onto all your wonderful memories until you can be together again.
Xena is in a better place, running free and happy.
RIP Xena, fly high with the angels. You are in very good company.
