Jaxx is still doing fine, the meds seem to be working for now. But he is slowing down to be sure. Now my schnauzer Simon goes out first to clear the yard of rabbits, raccoons and other assorted vermin.

He has not attempted to get on the bed again, but I have blown up the air mattress and we sleep on the air mattress on the floor now…my back is killing me, but he is as happy as a clam in sand because he can sleep with me.

It was a beautiful weekend in Ohio, lots of sun, so he spent 2-3 hours outside baking in the sun on Saturday. I swear he was smiling when I checked on him, then off to Stricklands we went for a dish of vanilla ice cream. He may not feel good, but I am going to do all that I can to let him know that I understand and will help him smile as long as I can.
