| Re: Advise re: 13 year old rottweiler This must be so hard for you. He's been able to enjoy nice long life wherein he was loved and respected. The kindest, and most difficult thing now is to let him go peacefully. He is suffering, now, so it must be done.
My prayers are with you. May the pain in your heart soon be over taken with the fondest of memories, the happy times, and silly things he did. Make a memorial. Just a garden rock or statue and some flowers, would do, and it would make you feel better.
When (my friend's dog) Remington was put down, I found this beautiful stone bench with squirrel bases. Remmy loved to chase squirrels! Em has quite a collection from friends: small memorial stones, reflecting globes, dog angels, an encased photo... all from friends. The small things, now, with the bench are set by her outdoor light fixture and surrounded by flowers. It's, not overstated. It's just lovely!
