What a frightful experience! Glad she's safe and home, again.
Good solution though. We too have a kennel run, 20 x 15, "inside" the semi private fence. I use it on nice days when I'm gone for only a few hours. All my neighbors gladly watch, and I padlock the gate. My girls have good neighbors, and they are loved.
