| Re: Jaxx has bone cancer I feel your pain as I have been there before. I think you are going down the right path, with bone cancer there is no guarantee that if you amputate it wont come back. I read many things on the net when Magnum was diagnosed with bone cancer back in 2002 and after reading about amputation (and crying my heart out reading about how they cry and shake and lick their missing limb) there was no way i could ever do that to him. I did do a bone biopsy, which i would not recommend you do as it weakens the bone. He broke his leg a week after the results came in. Spoil Jaxx as much as you can and spend as much time with him as you possibly can loving him. There are a few people here who have put their dogs on a pain management plan (Anne is one that i can think of from the top of my head) and it seems to be helping their dogs with the pain. Have you spoken to an oncologist (sp?) about this yet?
I will say a prayer for both you and Jaxx, it is devistating news and my heart is breaking for you.
