I bought a dog from a "BYB" and realized after we got him why he was so cheap. Poor thing was emaciated and only 7 lbs for a 10 week old. He is now 9 months old and 80 lbs of feisty loving dog, oh and many dollars in vet bills for proper de-worming and food. His parents were CKC registered, I have his "so called" papers and will not register him. I've done some research on this club and if they accept the conditions underwhich this pup was born, than forget them.
I do not regret even one bit getting this pup, with our care he has turned into a great dog. We've had him in obedience training and it is going well. I do not plan to breed him since there are no official papers, and we enjoy him as a pet. We've raised him around our small dogs and have had good luck with that. The little ones are still the boss over him, especially our female beagle. |
