We too, have the Rottweiler crossing signs on the gates. One was removed by who knows?!? I put them on the gates after I came home in a brown-out and let the dogs out unaware the Com-ed guy was at the back of the property yelling and screaming with a pry-bar over his head all sorts of lovely descriptions of my two. I told him to stand still, shut-up and put the bar down.....duh...both dogs responded to the "come" command and sat at my feet...the guy was still yelling like a fool! I installed padlocks on the gate and they remain today. Padlocking your gates is a great safety precaution! It also prevents kids from leaving the gates unsecure(when their ball goes in our yard)...all our neighbors are aware of the dogs, if I could think of a way to deter them from climbing and hanging over my 6ft fence other than hot-wire I would do it!
