thanks Mick. I have to use a lot of situational control to be able to hold him. I can handle him by keeping his excitement under control. If he gets wound before we go out to the field, I have a hard time physically holding him. at this point, I don't think it is dog aggression, but excitement. If I keep him under control from the start, like when we do long downs or the obedience, he is good. it is just when someone starts protection, the crated dogs in cars and trucks get worked up. I can take him out, walk him to the field under control if there is nothing else going on, but if he sees another dog working, I am afraid I won't be able to hold him. I think that is what they were trying to help me with. He did say that he needs to start adding some control now. again, thanks
