Hi. I am the proud mom of a 6 year old female Rottie named Clea. She is my pride and joy and I love her to death. We rescued her approx. 3 years ago, and she has been excellent. Recently we have been thinking about getting a companion for her. We have fostered many rotties and she does well with all types of other dogs, the only thing is I have never seen her with a pup, so I'm not sure how they will interact.

Also, someone told me that getting a younger male would be best for her, since she is a dominant bitch. So that's what we've been looking at. I've been checking different shelters and rescues, because I would love to adopt again, but I have found a male puppy that I think would be great for the family.

Now with her being older should I be ok with bringing a puppy in the mix, or should I go for an older dog? Any and all suggestions will be appreciated, We love our Clea and just want to add to the family and hope she that she will love a new lil friend.
