I don't know how many people read about my experience, but Gary for the first night of our new class was the class idiot. Barking (didn't care about squirt bottle corrections), restlessness and bouncing all over and around my feet, trying to jump on anyone that came near, pulling towards the dog sitting next to us, chewing on his leash and ignoring my drop it/leave it....while of course ignoring me every time I told him no for everything else. The only way I kept his focus at all was if I was shoving treats down his throat one after another, continuously. Once I stopped, bad behavior again!

What advice did the trainer give you during all this? Don't be embarassed, this is the place to learn. If you walk in with the perfect dog what help will the trainer be? That is the point of having a trainer. If your trainer hasn't addressed what you should be doing then I would be looking for a different trainer. I know Gary is young, but still your trainer should be giving you advice on how to deal with his antics that most likely stem form overstimulation.
