I think I can top you here... Monday night, went to training. Max is currently on a martingale. It was working well for oh 2 weeks
He decided Monday night that he really didn't care how much he was choking because he just wanted to play with that golden across the room. No amount of correction, no amount of food (and I didn't feed him dinner thinking I needed all the help I could get) could make him ignore that golden!
I was standing on his leash (we were practicing "watch me") and off he went. I dove for the leash and managed to get hold of it with my left hand. Grabbed another part of the leash with my right hand. Max was choking, making "ack" noises and just couldn't be brought back. He then pulled that extra little bit and off kilter I went. Twisted my knee, which I didn't realize until the next morning when I couldn't walk!! I'm popping pain meds like crazy and my knee is in a tensor bandage.
He was so crazy that night, even the trainers were having a hard time calming him down

They eventually did, but then off he went again!! Oh it was soooooooo embarrassing. And only the week before, he was so great in class! I was tempted to leave the class more than a few times, but I stayed and we worked through it. It took all my patience to say "front" in a happy, excited manner I tell ya!
Needless to say, at the end of the class I approached the trainer and asked her if I could put him on a prong and she was totally ok with it (they are huge proponents of the flat buckle). I'm getting him fitted Saturday. So much for the flat buckle and martingale.
I hope your class went better than mine did
