If the breeder is a good one - COE - he won't mind being 'interrogated'. In fact, a good breeder would also be questioning you! Sounds like you have found a backyard breeder. He probably has 'nice' dogs, but you could really get burned if all the health tests are not done and availalble. You also want to research the ancestors as well, not just the dam and sire. As others have said, there is a great deal more involved, and the wise rottie owner does his learning before purchasing a pup. |
