There's a thread at the top of either the Breeding or the Puppy forum that shows what the paperwork they should have on the parents (AKC AND OFA) should look like. Don't settle for them telling you the parents were "health tested" -- that usually means that their vet told them the dogs were "OK to breed" which basically means they were standing up, breathing, eating, drinking, etc. Nothing to do with the health certs from OFA that really count. Ask them about registered names of parents... then you can look up their titles, if any, at AKC and their certs at OFA (if any) yourself online.
