I had a shihtzu that was 8 and still wasnt housetrained no matter what I did, she would go to the door during the day, but at night she would pee right outside my daughters bedroom door, at our old house I watched her once she literly slowly walked like tip toed downstairs to pee and then quietly came back upstairs and looked in the front room to see if anyone was watching and went back to sleep

But anyways I always go with my dogs, no matter if we go out front or out back, they now always go potty and poop out through the basement its easier and less mess scattered throughout the yard, Cash goes towards the back and gypsy goes in the front

If you cant watch her when you bring her in and she doesnt go put her in a crate... or stay outside for a few xtra minutes playing and I think eventually she willl go
