No, it's not normal for a properly trained intact male dog.
A properly trained and socialized intact male dog does not freely hump whatever objects he decides to hump. You have an training problem here.
Unless this dog is a stellar representative of his breed with the titles to prove it, he should be neutered. But don't think that neutering alone is going to substitute for the training that he also needs.
A dog that has been brought up to think that he calls the shots on who, what and when he humps and ejaculates on is a dog that is going to try to call the shots in all sorts of other ways as well. Book him an appointment for neutering, sign him up for a good obedience class, stop allowing him up on the bed and start being observant so you can recognize and address his other training gaps.
