The poor kid's behavior is not normal-- natural mom is not helping at all either, looks like. It happens a lot.... so sad. If you really want the relationship with his dad, and D, to work, I'd get some professional help for the three of you (you, boyfriend, and D) to learn some techniques to get through this problem of his acting out. As far as Janus is concerned, can you put the crate in your office and put a latch up high on the door to keep D out?
