Re: Dog Nearly Bites Friend - Urgent Advice Needed

Well, the thing is, I spoke to my trainer and told him briefly about my dogs background, where he came from, incidents that happened in the past, and he feels that it's genetics, and that you can't really change genetics.

See, I just don't know if it is too late for help. I mean, even if I send him out to this boot camp facility, who knows how he will act when he gets back.

Sure, he will get more socialazation but at the same time, I just don't know if it is worth it.

My ideal scenario would be for someone to come to my home and work with him. But the trainers I want to work with, rarely come to homes, and if so, it would cost an arm and a leg.

All I do know, is that the situation needs to be addressed now. No more time is left.

In my heart, I truly feel something can be worked on, but I don't know if I will ever be able to trust him around other people, especiallly inside my home.
