Or you can go outside with the dog on leash, or have a cable run and be outside with the dog. Hudson is on a cable line that runs 80ft up and down our yard. I go outside with the dogs each and every time they go out. I don't see why you'd have to rehome the dog simply because you don't have a physical fence up.
