Not trying to be unfriendly, but I would venture a guess that almost everyone on here, myself included has had it hard at some point. That didn't stop me from getting medical care for my dogs if they needed it. Get a part-time job if you have to. Volunteer to clean cages whatever at your vets, but GET YOUR BOY INTO THE VET!!! He's in pain and deserves better.
