What a terrible experience for you as a child. Big congrats though on being strong enough not to let that affect your perception about all dogs. My controller at work was also bitten by a gsd. She was opening a sliding glass door next to the dog while it was eating and inadvertently (sp?) bumped him. He latched onto her thigh and the owners had to get him off. She has scars to this day as well. Like you though, she realized it was one dog, one set of owners...not a whole breed. She absolutely adores our Xasha. Always asking about her and buying her treats for getting one month older! |
