I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet and precious friend. He was a lucky boy to have had you both. He had unconditional love and only knew the hands and hearts of kindness. I can just tell that he had the best food, treats, toys and vet care available. You were both blessed to have such a relationship.
I do understand how you feel. We lost our heart dog,Sheena Marie, in 04. I don't think there will ever be another rottie girl that I could love in the same way. I still miss her and think about her every day. The difference now is, I laugh and smile when I remember her instead of crying. I knew I had given her a wonderful life and loved her as a daughter. That concept did help me. To honor her memory, when the time seemed right, I got another girl. I love Lola as much but in very different ways.
You made a brave and generous decision to help your boy cross over. The pain will get better I promise you that. |
