Thumbs down Re: This weeks reputation spolier

this morning i took my 6.5month rottie, willow, for his walk. we walked past quite a few dog walkers and families and everyone was fine with him, some even stopped to pet him, then i came to two young girls with two toddlers and two dogs,as soon as i saw them i put willow back on his leader as i saw the girls faces and they looked abit worried,i then heard one of them say "that dog is a rottweiler, get the kids" so i reassured them he was only a baby and they had nothing to worry about as he was soft as muck and wouldnt know how to hurt anything.. at this point they were ushering the kids away, while trying to control their TWO dogs and clearly in a state of panic, then one of the girls said "just keep that dog away from us". this really upset me, but why should i put up with comments and reactions like that just because i chose a beautiful, strong, loving breed of dog????
i could have made a comment back to them, that they shouldnt try and control 2 dogs (which were off the lead), also two toddlers which werent in reigns..that is an accident waiting to happen and they have the cheek to try and make me feel uncomfortable, and i am the reponsible one in this story!!

it is the media's fault in this country, nicknaming rotties "devil dogs" and so far this year there has been alot of stories of rotties attacking and killing children and adults, but they dont print the full story, and now people like us have to deal with people crossing the street when they see us coming with our beautiful dogs or thinking it is acceptable to be cruel to us or shout comments, why dont they ever print nice stories about the nice things
our rotties do???????
