Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while. Sadie is a HANDFUL!!!! Anyway, I have read probably 30-40 of the posts on here and am sitting here with my jaw dropped. Maybe I really shouldn't be because everyone is ignorant until they learn something, but it seems that everyone has posted excellent advice here and it isn't getting through. I don't know what else anyone can say...WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE PUPPIES FOR A LONG TIME UNLESS THEY ARE TO IMPROVE THE BREED OF THE DOG !!!! and period. If you want a puppy go adopt one, rescue one, or just forgo the puppy part and get a dog that needs a good home. If everyone did this instead of breeding and kept breeding out of the hands of BYB's then the tragedy of out "pet" population would not be what it is. There are MORE THAN ENOUGH puppies and dogs for EVERYONE!!! (nice pets for nice families included).
I am certainly not holier than thou. Wow, not at all. I am an offender myself for what I did. BUT I learned! I know what everyone is hollering about now when they plead with people to spay and neuter their pets. Please think long and hard on this. Do some research, and think of the millions (yes millions) of unwanted animals in the U.S alone. Don't think for a minute that your dogs will be "special" and "better" than those millions of unwanted animals. If people want a pet, they are available, and all you would be breeding are "pets". There is nothing wrong with "pets" but we DONT need more of them./
Please don't take this as an attack. I do not intend it as such. Just please open your eyes and then help open the eyes of others as well.
