I'm really glad you decided against sending her away. Training is beneficial to both dog AND owner. It's a great bonding experience.
Glad to hear also that you are crate training - best thing ever if used correctly.
When traveling, she should be in a crate, or with a car harness. It's not safe for accidents or for regular driving. If she sees something out a window, it can distract you. If you have an SUV, can you get one of those grates that separate the back from the front? Having a loose dog when driving is dangerous. Don't rely on her to just stay back there. |
