Both of my deceased Rottweilers were cremated separately, I paid more, but now they sit on my desk looking down at me (maybe weird, I don't mind it).

I wanted them to go out with dignity, and in my opinion, throwing my dogs' body in on top of other deceased animals in a mass cremation in just not right .... to me.

I feel your pain, just try to remember the good times.
