This just shows your ignorance when it comes to rotties or dogs in general. Positive reinforcement is the way to go, NOT hitting a puppy! It is NOT acceptable because the dog doesn't UNDERSTAND your verbal commands because YOU DIDNT TEACH IS CORRECTLY. If you had, the dog would listen and you wouldn't need to hit the puppy. They don't listen not because they don't want to, it's because they don't get it. Rotties are always trying to please their owners and to hit a puppy because you didn't teach commands the right way is not fair. We are trying to help others here and suggesting to an owner to hit the puppy is NOT good advice.
