It is NOT necessary to hit or "bop" your puppy!! If he doesn't get the verbal commands you give it's because
YOU didn't teach them correctly! Dogs were NOT born knowing English! He listens out of FEAR that you are going to hit him again.
I can't believe you'd hit yor 6 month old puppy. A puppy is new to this world, learning what he can and cannot do, and you bully him by hitting him. If you keep this up, be careful when your rottie is full grown, and no longer wants to be bullied anymore. Either that, or like another poster said, cowering in the corner peeing on himself because he's in FEAR OF YOU.
