I most definitely agree, and I find this reality very sad. These people sure are missing out on the best part of living with a working dog, they're missing out on a wonderful relationship with their dog built through working, and they're not doing the breed any favors. At this point in time we have scads of folks breeding dogs that they've never actually worked in ANY venue (and in many cases the breeders themselves have never really worked a dog in any venue either).
